Jake Sandal Part II

“Oooh, wow, guys,” I said in my best sing-song excited toddler voice.  “Look at these sandals!  They are so cool!  Who wants to try them on?  Reid, wouldn’t you like to try these awesome brown sandals on?”

Hand me down sandals from the basement. AKA NOT Jake Sandals

Reid glared at me.  “NO.”

“These sandals are sooo cool!  They would be fun to wear!  Will, why don’t you try them?”

“No.  Jake n-andals.”  Will replied, handing me his Jake sandals.

I put Reid in my lap and tried to shove his kicking foot into a sandal.

“They are cool fancy brown sandals!”  I promised, “Just try them!”

“Nooooo!  Jake shoes!  Jake shoes!”  He wailed, kicking the shoes off.

Reid wore his tennis shoes, and the poor brown sandals remain neglected in the closet 😦
